Bike MS: Waves to Wine Official Training Program (’07, ‘08, ‘09, ‘10)
PacWest Athletics provides a proven 12-week training program that supports a wide range of athletes. We’ve had true beginner cyclists on hybrid bikes as well as veteran MS Bike participants all successfully train and easily complete this fun yet very challenging two-day event. The program is specifically designed to train individuals to achieve the 150-mile (75 + 75) or 175-mile (100 + 75) distances. Considered one of the most scenic and iconic rides in the world, Bike MS: Waves to Wine also comes with challenging climbs and fast winding descents. Elevations total over 10,000′ (100-mile Day 1), 7,500’ (75-mile Day 1) and 2,500′ (75-mile Day 2). Train with PacWest and we’ll make sure you are more than prepared come event day.
Ride Details:
Benefitting the Northern California Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, this two-day bike tour begins in San Francisco crosses over the Golden Gate Bridge and winds its way up breathtaking Highway 1 on Day 1. Riders have the option of riding either the 75-mile or 100-mile routes both of which entail challenging climbs. Day 2 riders cycle from Sonoma Mountain Village in Rohnert Park through the heart of the Sonoma wine country ending at beautiful Lake Sonoma. Register for the event today at www.wavestowine.org.
