PacWest Elite Athlete, Monique Petrov, was seriously injured when stuck head-on by an on-coming car last September while riding along Lucas Valley Road in San Rafael.  She was nearing the completion of a 5+ hour training ride in her final preparations for the 2009 Ironman World Championship.

Her amazing road to recovery has also included her out spoken advocate of educating the public on rider and driver safety. Her story and message to us all are featured in the May Issue of Marin Magazine – Road Wars.
